Cars can be Powered by Water, Sun and Air too

It seems that the political tension between China and US over Middle East’s supply of oil and gas will soon be alleviated (as it will be impossible to say “soon to be over”). Thanks to new alternative sources of energy that can potentially fuel millions of cars worldwide.

Yugatech has blogged about Philippine’s first solar powered car Sinag. Sinag, which is designed by students and some faculty members of De La Salle University Manila, is powered by the energy coming from the sun.

The Air Car

Todaysgizmos has also blogged about a car that runs on air. The air car is perhaps an environmentalist’s dream come true. It does not produce pollution, recycles the air used in its brake, expels a cold air suitable for internal air conditioning. It also uses vegetable oil in its engine.

Water Powered Car

Too bad, the water powered car reportedly made by the Filipino inventor Daniel Dingel has gotten into much controversy. Dingel claimed to have invented a water powered car in 1969 but many consider this as a hoax. The inquirer reports that Dingel drives around a water powered car and complains that Filipino government officials and scientists refused to support his invention.
