Thanks Josh Peters…..just tried your recommendation and it worked….not at first though because there were MANY files in the task manager and before I could locate the tddysguard, etc…..it blocked me out…..so, the second time I just looked for anything that had guard.exe in it and I found 2 files like that…..they were not tddys though…..so, I found those 2 real quickly and deleted them…..went to —— and downloaded the software…..all is back to normal
    thanks again

I am having the worst luck!!!!! I got this a couple of weeks ago, but after a few days of having it and not being able to figure out what to do, it took over EVERYTHING. It took my administrator powers away from me and I can’t delete any of it. I went to do a system restore, but it won’t let me do that either. It won’t let me download anything. Everything I try, it won’t allow. When I start my laptop normally, you can only see my background. Nothing appears. Just pop ups saying my laptop is infected. I’m in safe mode right now and I don’t understand how to get rid of it anymore. I just want to give up again, this is mental. God, who knew how frustrating this could be… Should I just pay someone to fix it? Or is there any hope whatsoever? :( :(

This is horrible but easy to get rid of. As soon as your computer boots into windows open the task manager and kill tddysgaurd.exe or something like that. It is then possible to go online and get hijackthis to remove it for good. If you have it that means someone used your computer to go to a site that hosted it and downloaded it. Possibly a “Your computer is infected” link. Virus blockers won’t find it because it is not a harmful virus just a pain in the but exploit by a company trying to get your information. They will only succeed if you give it to them.
