Yet another site on computer viruses and spam

Yahoo buzz! is now open and publishers and bloggers can now use Yahoo’s own version of digg to have their stories published and voted for. I tried using Yahoo buzz! today by submitting one of my posts in my personal blog Rhodilee.com, “Kadayawan 2008″. I embedded a yahoo buzz button in my post and replaced “ARTICLEURL” in the code with the URL of the post that I wanted to submit.

Personally though, I find the process tedious and I can’t figure out how to the insert the yahoo buzz button automatically in all of my posts. Fortunately, a plugin is now available for all wordpress users who want to place the buzz on yahoo button in their blogs.

The Yahoo! Buzz Wordpress plugin is created by Travis Johnson and is available for download here.

That’s scary Jason but it seemed I did not have the same problem. I deactivated the plugin nonetheless because of other issues.

Just a possible security warning about this plugin, my website was hijacked twice this past week by phishers. This had never happened before in the 10-year history of my site. The only changes to my site this week were installing this Yahoo Buzz plugin. I have since removed it.

    Hi Jason,

I haven’t figured that out yet but I hope the plugin author will make some post about this soon. I have deactivated the plugin in my other site because it messes with my theme.

Thank you for this quick writeup on the YahooBuzz WP plugin.
    I’ve already installed it.

Is it possible to move the Yahoo buzz button to the bottom right of a post?
Or to put it inline with the other bookmark buttons I have?

    Thank you.
