Iphone 3G for $250 without contract
I have to admit that I am one of those people who are looking forward to owning the much talked about iphone 3G but I also doubt about willing to spend thirty thousand pesos or around $800 for a gadget. People may be able to purchase the new iphone for an “affordable” unit price but it generally includes a contract with companies such as AT&T. Nevertheless, there are people who claim to have bought the iphone 3G without contract for $250.
Yohanz, for example, who left a comment in my post Price of Iphone 3G in the Philippines says that her friend was able to buy brand new iphone 3G for only $250 per unit in New Jersey and the iphone was unlocked here in the Philippines.
I googled for “$250 iphone 3g” and there are even sellers who are selling unlocked iphone 3Gs in forums. One thing I noticed though is that most of these sellers have just joined or has just been banned in forums. You can check this and this and this. These sellers may really be selling iphone 3G but personally, I wouldnt buy from sellers who sell on forums (why not in ebay where their feedbacks can be checked?) and who claim as reputable companies but do not even have decent company website.
