Ya this is a really nasty piece of work, even if you do buy it I’m told it still kills your computer. The problem with it is how complex the virus is. It shouldn’t even be called a rouge antivirus, more along the line of destructive hostageware. I just doesn’t infect you computer in one way it installs a couple dozen other viruses and trojans that obviously are not really well controlled by the inept idiots responsible for the scam, and the backlash of the rampage by those other viruses that come along with Antivirus XP can often destroy a computer. I’m still cleaning up various problems with XP after I killed the newest version of it on this computer.

It is time for you to play it safe. Cancel your credit card (they will send you a new one) and you may want to sign up for a credit monitoring service. Use it for a year or six months just to be sure. You can get the services from you Credit Card Company if you would like.

I only thought these scammers just steal money, It didnt occur to me they may even be identity thieves. I hope things won’t get worse.

I wished I had seen this article much much earlier.
It happened to me just 2 days ago, and not so carefully as I should have, I did purchased it right the way by credit card. What happend me? My computer was dead one day later. I had to formate my computer. Now, I am so afraid of bening a potential ID theft victim.
