Umobile cannot send text messages to Globe numbers

My husband tried to send me a message using his newly received umobile sim card yesterday but the message did not reach me. He sent a message to his bestfriend and the dude got the message. Hubby’s friend is using a smart sim card, I am using a globe number. It seems that Umobile cannot send text messages to Globe subscribers. We tried sending messages to my globe number for the second and third time but no message ever arrived in my cellphone so I guess there is a “blockade” between globe and umobile which I believe is powered by the smart mobile network. I am not sure if I am the only one who experiences this but hopefully this will be fixed soon.

Anyway, here are some of the other problems we have met so far when we used the umobile sim:

1. The number is tooooo long, I cannot easily remember my husband’s umobile number.

2. Umobile numbers do not show up in the caller ID. Again, I am not sure if this only happens because I am a globe subscriber. Calling people without having to show your number may be a good thing but sometimes, people might just think that you are somewhere outside the Philippines.
