Everyone who has gone through getting their birth certificates from the NSO (National Statistics Office) will agree that getting their Philippine birth certificate is tedious. Unfortunately, NSO released birth certificates, marriage certificates and even CENOMAR (certificate of no marriage) are required these days especially when you are graduating or you are applying for a passport.
Fortunately, getting Philippine birth and other civil registry documents is now possible online. This service has been available for quite a long time now but this info might help people who are still planning to travel from the provinces just to get their NSO certificates in the city.
Application to get a birth certificates and similar documents can be made at ecensus.com.ph. The pay for each birth certificate is PhP 300.00 which is already inclusive of the courier fee. Foreign requests, however, costs US$20.00 for an issuance of a birth certificate. Payment can be done through bank transfer/deposits and credit card payments. Delivery of the document within the Philippines will take 3 to 6 days while foreign deliveries may take up to 8 weeks. Only the owner of the document, the spouse, direct descendants/ascendants or guardian are allowed to receive the NSO documents.
Note: Using free fake birth certificates made in Recto is illegal and punishable by Philippine law.

hi..i have a problem with my name in my birth certificate from NSO, when i got my copy from there my name is not written on the paper only my surname, but i also have a record from civil register office in manila that its was completely filled up my name was written there. what will i do regarding my problem coz i going to get a passport

my father and my mother were not married, so i was using my mother’s surname but the problem was i also used her middle name ever since i entered school, my birth certificate doesn’t show middle name. but all of my school records bears my mother’s middle name, how can i fix the problem?

how come that my gender in my birth certificate record in NSO (female) is not the same in my gender in my birth certificate record in local civil registrar(male). Can you please help me to fix this…. i am actually male.

I have lost my birth certificate,coz i want to Renunciation of Philippine Citizenship because my passport was HONG KONG SAR passport and i go to taiwan,taiwan immigration doesn’t to approve the taiwan visa to me coz i am use HONG KONG SAR passport but my birth place was in philippine,they dont accept me i am a chinese nationality(but my father was chinese so i have chinese nationality).I must show the Affidavit of renunciation to the taiwan immigration.Then i have been to consulate general of the philippines in hong kong sar,the officer said my birth certificate copy no hasnt register no.so they to suspect when i borned my father or mother hasnt register the birth certificate.Now i want to find my original birth certicate it have the register no.,but if i cant find it in civil register,what i shall i do?can somebody help me?

I lost my original certificate,And I want to Renunciation of Philippine Citizenship from consulate general of the philippine in (HONG KONG SAR).The officer said my copy certificate hasn’t Register no.and i must show the original certificate is have the original register no. to him ,then he can apply my Affidavit of renunciation to me.But I haven’ family member and friend in Philippine,so nobody can help me to found the Birth of Certificate for me.Please someone can help me,if my Birth of Certificate hasn’t to register,What shall i do?Now I am in Hong Kong and I am Citizen in HK,My passport and id was HONG KONG SAR.Doesnt philippine civil registry can send my certificate to Hong Kong?

im having problems with my surname…ive been using my mom’s surname for all of my life…and never used the one in my birth certificate, which is different..coz we didnt want to use it coz i havent seen my father since the day i was born. so why use his name?
so whats the easiest, cheapest way of getting it change to the one im always using?
