For only PhP 1,300 pesos, anyone qualified for a Philippines passport application can now apply for a new Philippine passport online. This online service allows Filipinos who have not been issued a Philippine passport to process their Philippine Passport for the first time. The new Philippine passport online application service is an improvement of an earlier service introduced by the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) which only limits online passport processing to Philippine passport renewal.
How to apply for a new passport online:
1. Prepare all the necessary passport requirements. These include:
- Marriage Contract
- PRC / IBP ID
- Land Title
- Driver’s License
- Government Service Record
- Old SSS-E1 form or digitized SSS-ID
- School Form 137 or Transcript of Records
- Other documents that show full name and birth details of applicant and/or citizenship
- Voter’s Registration Record
- Baptismal Certificate
- Seaman’s Book
- Income Tax Return (Old)
2. Fill up a philippine passport application form. Take note of the pick up and personal appearance date. You may change this if it is in conflict with your schedule.
3. Pay PhP 1,300 when your requirements are picked up.
4. Go to the DFA on your appearance date. Instructions on what to do during your appearance are included in the latest passport online application form. Passport Direct customers use the priority lane so it will not be as difficult as when you line up and apply for your application directly at the DFA.
5. Wait for your passport to be delivered. Make sure to prepare identification documents as the courier may require this when delivering your passport.
Approval for passports applied online is not guaranteed as this still depends on the discretion of the DFA. Personal appearance is required except for the following:
children 8 years old and below
individual 65 years old and above
persons who are mentally or physically incapacitated
Personal appearance for applicants who processed their new Philippine passport online will only be accommodated at the DFA Manila. Individuals based in the Visayas and Mindanao must therefore seek for the help of travel agencies instead or they will pay more for their airfare during their personal appearance.

Paano po kung me correction sa birthdate? Ung tunay na birthday po ang gnagamit ko since childhood sa lahat ng documents esp in school.Nung una po akong magapply,ung tunay ko pong bday ang inilagay ko at hindi ang nasa BC inhonor po ang affidavit for correction na pinagawa ko sa lawyer that time..i want to use now whats on my BC…What other document should i present beside my authenticated BC?
i have my Transcript of Record pero yung tunay na bday ko rin ang nakalagay doon at hindi yung nakaregister sa NSO…

hello…ask ko lang kase meron akong baby she is 7 months old now nasa Philippines sya, gusto ko sana syang dalhin dito sa Dubai pwede ko ba syang aplayan ng passport dito sa Philippine Embassy ng Dubai eh nandon pa sya sa Philippines ngayon thinking na napakaraming requirements pala kung yung friend ko lang ang uutusan ko na mag apply sa kanya ng passport.. im planning na dalhin say dito sa dubai hopefully next year pag nag 1 year old na sya possible ba yon na ma aplayan ko sya ng passport dito na mismo sa Dubai para di na kailangan ng mga special power of atty or ano pa mang napakaraming requirements..ano po kaya ang possible na requirements na kakailanganin dito?hope to receive a reply from your side soon.

hi! Good day !
I want to ask about the renewal of passport for my kids.They have thier passport issued last year 2000 and unfortunately it was expired last 2005.I want to have it renew but my kids are still minors.I have read from your requirements that if the applicant is below 18,renewal of thier passport should be accompanied or personal appearance by either of parents.My problem is,both of us with my husband are working abroad.
We need your suggestion please,Can my sister be a substitute in place for us parents?since she is staying with our kids?

Can I get my passport that has expired updated online? Where is that service? Also, I am looking for family members aurora dosol salvatera felts that is my mom I need to find her and I have two half sisters and a father I have never met. This post was written several months ago so there might have been changes with the age requirement for personal appearance. If there are discrepancies between this site and DFA, please always follow the directives from the DFA.

HI, in your post you said, minors 8 years below doesnt need personal appearance, I checked DFA’s site and it said 7 years old and below. Can you clarify which age please? Thanks
