Are you planning to travel abroad and you want to know how to apply for Philippine passport? Here’s a step by step guide on how to get a Philippine passport through the DFA Passport Appointment System. Please note that the requirements and guidelines below are for Filipinos who want to apply passport in the Philippines. Information on how to apply passport online is also provided. The process and requirements to apply Philippine passport renewal, however, may differ particularly if you are based in other countries such as UK, US and Canada.
How to Apply Passport in the Philippines
1. Secure Philippine passport requirements. It is better to prepare the important documents before you contact DFA for your passport because some of these documents may not be easily available or may take days to secure. Make sure that you have the original copy and photocopy of these documents. Some of the most important of Philippine passport requirements are as follows.
Birth Certificate issued by the National Statistics Office (NSO)
Valid ID such as digitized government-issued IDs like SSS, PRC and school IDs for students.
Supporting documents with your full name, date of place and birth and citizenship such as the following
Marriage Contract
Land Title
Driver’s License
Government Service Record
School Form 137 or Transcript of Records with dry seal
Other documents that show full name and birth details of applicant and/or citizenship
Voter’s Registration Record from COMELEC Intramuros
Baptismal Certificate with dry seal
Seaman’s Book
Income Tax Return (Old)
NBI Clearance

2. Set an appointment by going to this link http://passport.com.ph/set-appointment or you can also call 737-1000. We shall, however, focus on applying for passport online.
3. Answer the captcha and then click “Start Individual Appointment Process”
4. Fill up the individual application form and then click submit.
5. Take note of the requirements that you need to bring on your appointment date.
6. Choose an appointment date and time
7. Check for your reference number and application form link that will be sent to your email. Make sure to print this form and bring it with you during your appointment.
8. Be at the DFA Consular Office on your appointment date 30 minutes before your scheduled time with all the needed requirements and photocopies. DFA Consular Office is located at ASEANA Business Park, Bradco Avenue corner Macapagal Boulevard, Paranaque City.
9. Show your printed application form to the Appointment Counter and get your queue number at the information counter. Wait for your number to appear before proceeding to the processing window.
10. After processing, proceed to the Passport Enrollment Section and pay for the passport processing fees.
11. Proceed to Encoding Section for data capturing after payment. If you opt to have your passport delivered to your home without returning to the DFA, pay for the delivery fee.
12. Wait for the release of your Philippine passport.

I do not know if ACCE travel and tours is accredited by the DFA but if it is located near the DFA office, it is likely that DFA will be able (hopefully) to monitor if it is a non accredited passport issuing travel agency.
1700 is already reasonable for an agency assisted passport pero as already mentioned in the comment by Rakel in this post: http://cantalktech.com/2008/01/16/philippine-online-passport-application/, 25 days is already the minimum processing time.
I am based in Davao and I notice that there are accredited travel agencies located in SM mall. Check them out in your area.

Yung may mga special concerns, I suggest you just bring all the documents that you think will be required by the DFA and better still contact the DFA directly.

Just a note to everyone applying for passport: agencies usually charge more than what the DFA charges. The reason is obvious: agencies are paid for their service.

I apply for passport renewal in San Pablo Travel and Tour in Laguna. The information given to me during my inquiry are the ff: Passport will be release in 11 working days and the fee is Php1,500 for expedite.When i’m about to get my passport they told me that it will take 15 days, which is obviously different on what they say during my inquiry, they even ask me to get a booking worth Php 500 for fast processing of my passport. my husband, joselito reyes cabral, had recently applied for a philippines passport. when his passport was delivered by the courier, i noticed that his civil status indicates that he is “single” when in fact, he is married. we had been married, however, in the united states. we came to the philippines as united states citizens but opted to apply for dual citizenship. i assume that when he applied for his philippines passport, he did not include a copy of our US marriage certificate nor indicate that he is married. is there anyway that our US marriage can be legally recognized by the philippine government or any of its agencies (NSO, DFA, or local municipalities) as proof that he is in fact married? would you be able to tell me the proper procedures as to how to go about notifying these different agencies. thank you for any suggestions you may have regarding my inquiry.

tanong ko lang po pwede po ba ako maka kuha ng passport kahit walang baptismal kasi wala po akong baptisma im 23yrs old na . may baptismal po ako kaso iba po yung family name ko dun saka yung parents ko. adopted po ako ng uncle ko then di na nila ako pinabinyagan kaya wala po akong baptismal certificate ngayon

Two brothers of mine are applying for their first passport. The problem is, my younger brother donot have an SSS ID because he worked only in the company for a very short time but he has an SSS number. What do we do? Will the SSS number suffice?
My other brother who quit working as Process Server of a Municipal Trial Court does not have a GSIS E Card, but all he was able to retrieve after Ondoy was a xerox copy of his GSIS Policy. Will this suffice.
All of the other requirements they already have, except for the lost old ITRs.

ask ko lang po,,nag research po ako every day kung pano kumuha ng passport,then i found out how to get…ngayon po complete na po ako sa requirements ko,noong 9th day of june pumunta kami sa DFA sa bagong building nila,pumasok kami sa gate2,but sad to say hinarangan kami ng guard at hinanapan kami ng appointment number,,kailangan po daw namin kumuha noon before kami bigyan ng application form..hiniling po namin sa guard na makapasok kami,,,nag travel pa po ako galing pa sa leyte..binigyan kami ng plaiers saka namin tinawagan ang numero nakasulat..ang sabi full na daw at sa sept.7 pa sila magbigay ng appointment number,noong march 3 pa daw binago yong patakaran,pero sabi ko po bakit wala ako nabasa na binago na kasi naman po lagi ako nag o-online….wala po akong nagawa,sabi naman ng iba total nadun na ko sa DFA dapat direct nalang kami nag pa oppointment..ang hirap pala kumuha ng passport,ask ko lang po sa loob ng bakit ang nakalagay pag rush 2weeks lang makuha na?so di pala totoo ang mga nakasulat or di palang napalitan yong policy?
