I was really pissed off today because of this Funny UST scandal AVI virus that keeps pestering me everytime I send messages via yahoo messenger. I was really shocked when I saw the cursor automatically buzzing my YM buddies and sending messages that say “tropen dis ganda nakakatawa”. Worse, my current status message even displayed this: “sino gusto funny ust scandal pm nio ko”.
I tried to delete all funny ust scandal icons in my PC. I even tried to uninstall my yahoo messenger and reinstalled it again but the Funny UST Scandal AVI Virus keeps coming back. Thankfully, I was able to download the Funny UST Scandal Avi.Exe Remover, a Funny UST Scandal Virus Removal Tool I have learned from techpinoy.blogspot.com.

1. install a fresh copy of window by formatting any drive
2. do not open any drive before removing virus from your system
3. make a restore point and check whether a folder options shows hidden files or not mark tick on show hidden files and folders
4. unmark the option hide protected operating system files( recommended )
5. after applying this options check one more time that they are applied or not they must be applied shows virus is not corrupted your windows
6. search autorun file from all drives and delete them by marking on more advance options (search hidden files and folders,search system folders, search subfolders)
7. after deleting these files right click on each drive and check there is autorun option or not it shows virus in your drive now restart your system the autorun option will be not there in right click on drives
8. now open drive and delete virus like funny ust scandal, smss.exe,xmss.exe
9. now again check the folder option selected option must be applied if they are not applied or it does not show hidden files and folders it means you did any mistake and virus corrupt your windows, now restore your system and repeate from step 4.

Honestly, I find your process too complicated and time consuming. In my case, I just downloaded and ran the ust scandal avi virus remover. It took me less than 5 minutes to delete the ust scandal virus. I believe the virus remover is made available by some student in Lipa City, Batangas, Philippines.

Hi, I think I have got rid off this virus. It caused these problems in my pc:
1.If I selected “show hidden files” option, the virus would automatically changed the option to “do not show hidden files and folders” ,so i could not see my hidden files and folders.
2.Again if i double clicked on any drive in the my computer,then another window would open.
I became tired formatting the C drive,but no solution cause it keeps its seeds in each drive of ur harddisk.Finally I applied this process:
1.First move the important files of C drive in other drives,cause u will need to format the C drive.You need to keep a backup of the software WinRar in any of your hard drives(without C), cause you will need it after installation.
2.Then install windows using a bootable CD.
3.When u have come to desktop after installation,be careful.Do not enter any drive.Rather than,from the start menu, go to Windows Explorer.
4.Be careful here again.Do not double click on any folder.Just use the left portion of the Windows Explorer to reach to the place where u have kept the backup of WinRar.Then double click on the setup icon of Winrar to install it.
5.After WinRar has been installed,run it from the start menu.
6.U will find that there is an arrow key in the main interface of WinRar using which you can go to any of your hard drives.Go to each of your hard drives(except C drive) and you see that there are some files(may be in exe or inf format) in each drives. Select these and SHIFT DELETE these evils.I found in my pc” autorun.inf” and” ek.com”. Then delete the” Recyler” folder cause there is a autorun.exe file in this.
7.Repeat the process for each drives using WinRar and at last enter in C drive.If you find some files of the same name,those u have deleted from the other drives,then,SHIFT DELETE these.
I think u will not miss it.
